The experiment was done to determine the initial
The experiment was done to determine the initial (launch) velocity and we came to conclude that it is affected by the angle at which we shot the ball. In the experiment, we learned how to determine the initial velocity of the ball that is launched horizontally out of projectile spring gun, how to predict and verify the range that a ball will travel when launched at a set angle.
The final range we predicted comparing to the experimental range is close, the error was very small, just 1.7%. This could be due to many different errors such as errors in measurement, air resistance, and stability. In addition, in the formulas stated above, there is no relation of velocity with the mass. Therefore, basically, it can be said that the mass of the projected object does not contribute to the velocity of the ball. However, I think that the initial velocity is affected by mass.
