In the story “Hamlet”
In the story “Hamlet”, one of the most important themes in the play is suicide. Hamlet is the main character who thinks about ending his life a few different times throughout the play ever since he found out his father died. He sees the benefits as to why he should end his life. He thinks he could possibly have a better life if he was with the dead. No matter how many times Hamlet states he is going to kill himself, he goes against his decision because he knows it is a sin against his religion, but more specifically, it is a wrongdoing against God.
